Today on Playstation.Blog, Tiki Games announced their first game for the Playstation Network, "Novastrike". Novastrike is a top down space shooter, which is a wholly unremarkable concept. What IS remarkable however, is that Novastrike represents the first self-published game to appear on the Playstation Network.

Lead developer Kevin McCann had this to say:

For you gamers that might understandably not mean much, but for any independent developers that are currently developing a title for PSN or thinking about doing it – we’re proof that you can self-publish a game on PSN.

This can only be exciting news for PS3 owners. There are many amazing Indie developers out there and now that the PSN "glass ceiling" has been broken, the next couple of years should bring some exciting new content to the PS3.

Mirror's Edge looks to have taken some cues from Portal and Assassin's Creed. The trailer makes the game seem clean, immersive, and pretty intense. I haven't heard too much about the game yet, except that it is heavily influenced by parkour. Ostensibly, you play a courier. What you are delivering and to whom is mysterious at this point, but does it really matter? Check out the video!

Oh, it's on. Once again, we can join Alex and Ryan as they chase Slick and his gang across River City. Use bats, pipes, tires, chains, and many other objects to beat your way through Slick's thugs. Stop at sushi bars, saunas, and convenience stores to buy items and services that level you up and buff your character. Never was more fun had on a Saturday afternoon than sitting down with a friend and two NES controllers to play some RCR.

Apparently [UPS]Lynx has some personal issues. With scouts. You know - the scout in TF2.. The one who runs double fast, jumps double high, and has lots of infuriating taunts, and always says "BONK" when he bashes your skull in with an aluminum bat.

Poor Lynx. He wrote a little comic to tell me how much they bug him. Poor kid.
